We want to extend the national reach of Radio Reading services to empower Australians with a print disability living in regional, rural and remote areas.
RPH Australia is supporting community radio stations, outside the current Radio Reading Network, to produce new, diverse, quality local programming made by and for people with a print disability in their community.
The dedicated RPH-licensed stations within the Radio Reading Network provide life-changing information services for people with a print disability. However, there are large populations outside our existing broadcast footprint with unmet information needs.
So, we’re joining forces with community radio stations who already demonstrate an authentic desire to help those in their community.
Could your station provide essential information radio programs, like readings from local newspapers and magazines, to serve people with a print disability in your local community?
We are supporting stations to:
- Start-up or refresh local Radio Reading programs
- Fund Radio Reading programming
- Find new audiences: local people with a print disability
- Apply our Standards for RPH Programming on Community Radio
- Access resources and training:
- Radio Reading resources for stations
- CMTO Pathways training places for project participants in 2019
- Engage with local disability organisations for & of people with disability
- Involve more people with disability
